Robert Stuart Smith

 

Apart from being an accomplished realtor Robert has another lighter side.

Robert Stuart was born in Elgin, the Cathedral City in the North East of Scotland. After arriving in Vancouver, Robert quickly became recognized as British Columbia's most popular and best known Scottish/Irish/English entertainer, his high powered sing-a-long shows and audience participation being enjoyed in various clubs and hotels in Western Canada.

As well as one and a half years at the Devonshire Hotel's Club 849, Robert was resident host-entertainer in the very popular George V Pub in Vancouver's Hotel Georgia for seventeen years.

A graduate of the British Columbia Institute of Technology in Business Management, Robert has been successful in organizing and producing entertainment for many private functions and conventions in the U.S. and Canada and has proved a very knowledgeable advisor and participant in many ethnic radio and T.V. programmes. Robert is a founding member of The Vancouver Burns Club, and is a regular speaker at Burns Suppers'.

An accomplished poet and songwriter his album "Live at the George V" proved very popular; included of course is his tribute to his favorite city "My Vancouver".
